Maps & Models

Maps have always featured in the Gallery 19 collection.

The "Four Maps of Kensington 1746-1891" began with one map dated 1830 and the curiosity of local residents who wanted to know what Kensington looked like before and after. Gallery 19, in conjunction with the company that digitalized the original maps, designed a print that combined four maps of Kensington dated 1746, 1830, 1862 and 1891. This period illustrates Kensington's dramatic transformation from marshes and market gardens through to the establishment of squares and courts and the arrival of the Metropolitan and District Line.

Over the years Gallery 19 has sourced an exquisite collection of reproduction maps of London, Italy, the Mediterranean and the World. These maps are available in a variety of sizes and formats including antique paper applied to linen, hand-coloured, folding maps in hand-made marbelized slipcases and framed.

Gallery 19 also stocks a collection of authentic reproduction globes.
